Brief:
Appleseeds needed a mobile solution to streamline how organizations recruit, manage, and engage volunteers—many of whom have varying levels of digital literacy. The goal was to reduce friction in communication and scheduling, while supporting scale and clarity on both sides of the volunteer relationship.
My Role:
I led the product architecture and UX direction, designing for two distinct user groups: volunteers and administrators. The system included guided onboarding, intent-based matching, and structured task flows to minimize confusion and increase commitment. I focused on making participation intuitive, while giving organizations visibility and control over their volunteer pipelines.
Outcome:
The final UX empowered users to take action quickly and confidently—whether signing up for events, responding to invites, or managing multiple touchpoints across a program. Mentoo now stands as a design system for lightweight, mission-driven coordination—balancing utility with empathy in every interaction.
